  Fannyknewnothowtofeel,norwheretolook。Shewasquiteoppressed。Hehadneverbeensokind,so_very_
  kindtoherinhislife。Hismannerseemedchanged,hisvoicewasquickfromtheagitationofjoy;andallthathadbeenawfulinhisdignityseemedlostintenderness。

  inquiredparticularlyafterherhealth,andthen,correctinghimself,observedthatheneednotinquire,forherappearancespokesufficientlyonthatpoint。Afineblushhavingsucceededthepreviouspalenessofherface,hewasjustifiedinhisbeliefofherequalimprovementinhealthandbeauty。Heinquirednextafterherfamily,especiallyWilliam:andhiskindnessaltogetherwassuchasmadeherreproachherselfforlovinghimsolittle,andthinkinghisreturnamisfortune;andwhen,onhavingcouragetolifthereyestohisface,shesawthathewasgrownthinner,andhadtheburnt,fagged,wornlookoffatigueandahotclimate,everytenderfeelingwasincreased,andshewasmiserableinconsideringhowmuchunsuspectedvexationwasprobablyreadytoburstonhim。
