Themen,however,arenotquitesoharmoniousintheirutterance;andwhenexciteduponanysubject,wouldworkthemselvesupintoasortofwordyparoxysm,duringwhichalldescriptionsofrough-sidedsoundswereprojectedfromtheirmouths,withaforceandrapiditywhichwasabsolutelyastonishing。
Althoughthesesavagesareremarkablyfondofchanting,stilltheyappeartohavenoideawhateverofsinging,atleastastheartispractisedamongothernations。
