  "Whatcomforttherewasinherwords!Andeventheverylittleones,whohadneverbeenawayfromtheirmothersanightbeforeintheirlives,stoppedtheirlowsobbingandnestleddowntosleep,surethatGodandAuntPollywouldletnoharmcometothem。
  "Thenextdaypassedslowlyandanxiouslyforusall。FromastraytravellerAuntPollylearnedthatthevillagewasstillinthehandsoftheBritishand——whatwasnolittlecomforttous——thatnoviolencehadbeendonetotheplaceoritsinhabitants。
