Mrs。Glenarmhad,itappeared,receivedananonymousletter,onthefirstdayofherarrivalasguestatthehouseofafriend,residingintheneighborhoodofPerth。Theletterwarnedherthattherewasanobstacle,ofwhichshewasherselfprobablynotaware,inthewayofherprojectedmarriagewithMr。GeoffreyDelamayn。Thatgentlemanhadseriouslycompromisedhimselfwithanotherlady;andtheladywouldopposehismarriagetoMrs。
