  “Hi!ho!Comebackyou!”shoutedChihun“Comebackandputmeonyourneck,misbornmountain!Return,splendorofthehillsides!AdornmentofallIndia,heaveto,orI’llbangeverytoeoffyourforefoot!”
  MotiGujgurgledgently,butdidnotobeyChihunranafterhimwitharopeandcaughthimupMotiGujputhisearsforward,andChihunknewwhatthatmeant,thoughhetriedtocarryitoffwithhighwords。

  AtdawnDeesareturnedtotheplantationHehadbeenverydrunkindeed,andheexpectedtogetintotroubleforoutstayinghisleaveHedrewalongbreathwhenhesawthatthebungalowandtheplantationwerestilluninjured,forheknewsomethingofMotiGuj’stemper,andreportedhimselfwithmanyliesandsalaams。
  MotiGujhadgonetohispicketsforbreakfastThenightexercisehadmadehimhungry。
