  illness。Asinglescene,whichtookplaceintheIllustriousGaudissart'sprivateroom,willgiveasufficientideaoftherest。LaCibotmetwithunheard-ofdifficulties,butshesucceededinpenetratingatlasttothepresence。KingsandcabinetministersarelessdifficultofaccessthanthemanagerofatheatreinParis;norisithardtounderstandwhysuchprodigiousbarriersareraisedbetweenthemandordinarymortals:akinghasonlytodefendhimselffromambition;themanagerofatheatrehasreasontodreadthewoundedvanityofactorsandauthors。
