Thebreakwasdrivenroundinduecourse,withUxmoor'steamharnessedtoit。Itwasfollowedbyadog-cartcrammedwithgrooms,UxmoorianandVizardian。Thebreakwaspaddedandcushioned,andheldeightorninepeopleverycomfortably……Itwas,indeed,asortofpicnicvan,usedonlyinveryfineweather。Itrolledonbeautifulsprings。ItspresentcontentswereMissGaleandherluggageandtwohampersfullofgoodthingsforher;Vizard,Severne,andMissDover。ZoesatontheboxbesideLordUxmoor。Theydrovethroughthevillage,andMr。SevernewassoobligingastopointoutitsbeautiestoMissGale。Shetooklittlenoticeofhiscomments,exceptbyastiffnodeverynowandthen,buteyedeachhouseandpremiseswithgreatkeenness。

Onperusingthis,LaKloskingheld_two_whitehandsuptoheaveninamazementattheskillandgoodtastewhichhaddraggedthisfeatureintotheincident。
