  THEoceanbeachofApemamawasourdailyresort。Thecoastisbrokenbyshallowbays。Thereefisdetached,elevated,andincludesalagoonaboutknee-deep,theunrestfulspending-basinofthesurf。Thebeachisnowoffinesand,nowofbrokencoral。Thetrendofthecoastbeingconvex,scarceaquarterofamileofitistobeseenatonce;thelandbeingsolow,thehorizonappearswithinastone-cast;andthenarrowprospectenhancesthesenseofprivacy。Manavoidstheplace-evenhisfootprintsareuncommon;
  butagreatnumberofbirdshoverandpipetherefishing,andleavecrookedtracksuponthesand。Apartfromthese,theonlysoundandIwasgoingtosaytheonlysociety,isthatofthebreakersonthereef。
